Kelsey Burhans

Master Student in the Master in Design Engineering Program

Contact: kburhans@mde.harvard.edu

I am a master’s student in the MDE program, which focuses on designing innovative solutions for complex systemic issues. Before joining Harvard to help launch the Business Analytics Program (HBAP) in 2018, most of my work centered on social enterprise, particularly the intersection between technology and financial inclusion in marginalized communities. I’m a passionate proponent of impact investing, inclusive tech, ethical algorithms, social equality, and interdisciplinary collaboration. When not working or studying, I practice martial arts and vocals, and escape to the mountains as often as I can.
