I am a fourth year Ph.D. candidate in Harvard's Biological and Biomedical Sciences program studying the mammalian non-coding genome in the Rinn Lab. I previously attended Stanford University, where I majored in biology. After college, I spent three years working as an analyst at Google, where I developed a passion for data science and programming. In my graduate work, I am now using my computational and analytical skills to study gene regulation. My research interests include using novel computational and experimental techniques to assess the function and the evolution of the non-coding genome in high throughput. Outside of lab, I enjoy reading all types of books and taking full advantage of the golden age of television. I am also constantly competing for first place at my local pub trivia night (it hasn't happened yet -- but we're getting closer!).
