About the role:
Essential Administrative and Financial Manager Functions:

  • Administer President’s schedule
  • Coordinate meetings, travel and speaking arrangements
  • Manage and process expense reimbursements in a timely manner for all team members
  • Provide support for fundraising efforts 
  • Create, edit and draft correspondence 
  • Additional tasks as needed/assigned
  • Provide basic financial management functions 

Essential Development Operations Functions:

  • Accurate, daily upkeep of prospect and donor records in CRM database system, ensuring that names, address information, relationships, contact points, campaigns, and other data are entered or updated promptly, correctly, and in alignment with system guidelines
  • Accurately create new donor records 
  • Identify and properly merge duplicate records
  • Data clean-up projects including reviewing and updating data, data entry, and other data work as projects require
  • Provide customer service for donors and prospects as needed - checking for and responding to inquiries received through the Development phone line and email inbox, and any inquiries received through other channels or departments
  • Cross train on procedures of gift processing, acknowledgements, and tributes to support team in times of uneven or unexpected workflow


  • 3+ years relevant work experience 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized; able to manage multiple complex tasks 
  • Ease and comfort in personal communication over the phone and via email, and strong written communication skills are also required
  • Flexible work style with the ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities 
  • Motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as within a team environment 
  • Track record of demonstrating sound judgment by taking initiative, making appropriate decisions, and communicating problems clearly
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Excel is required and candidates with experience using fundraising databases and/or Salesforce are strongly preferred
  • Demonstrable experience in data entry, report generation, and/or database administration are strongly preferred
  • Understanding of international development, genocide and sexual violence as a weapon of war a plus but not necessary.
