Dr. Christopher AhnAllen (he/him) is the Co-Director of Psychology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and began the Gender Diversity Clinic at Brigham and Women's Hospital within the Department of Psychiatry in 2018. Dr. AhnAllen provides gender-affirming individual psychotherapy and also provides psychological evaluations to assist with readiness for surgery determinations as well as letters of support. He is a member of the BWH Center for Transgender Health that is preparing to launch in 2022. Prior to his appointment at Brigham and Women's Hospital, he was a member of the Interdisciplinary Transgender Treatment Team at VA Boston Healthcare System. He has conducted educational research in trans-affirmative procedures and has published on topics associated with transgender health in Academic Psychiatry, Transgender Health, Journal of Homosexuality and Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
