ABOUT

The Joint Atlantic Seminar for the History of Medicine (JASMed) is an annual gathering of early career historians of medicine and public health, coordinated by graduate students. Founded in 2002 by a coalition from Harvard University and Yale University, the conference now in its 11th year has been hosted by these institutions, Rutgers University, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins University. Our mission is to foster a collegial intellectual community and to provide a forum for sharing and critiquing graduate research among peers.

We welcome all participants and are eager to hear new voices in the history of medicine and allied fields!

This year's conference is being coordinated by graduate students in Harvard's History of Science and MIT's HASTS Departments. Please contact this year's Co-Chairs, Emily Harrison and Lan Li, with questions via the conference email: JASMed2013@gmail.com.
