Mao and the Sino-Soviet Partnership, 1945-1959: A New History

The twenty-fifth book, Mao and the Sino-Soviet Partnership, 1945-1959 by Zhihua Shen and Yafeng Xia, draws extensively on Chinese sources and on an array of other sources to offer a comprehensive look at the Sino-Soviet alliance from the end of the World War II through the end of the 1950s, when the alliance was left in disarray as a result of foreign and domestic policies.  The book looks at both sides of the Sino-Soviet alliance, with a particular focus on the Chinese side. Shen and Xia will soon put out a follow-on volume in the CWS Book.
