Lawrence was an undergraduate at Princeton, where he worked with Prof. Michael Romalis on a K-Rb-Ne comagnetometer. He did his graduate work on ultracold Fermi gases at MIT under the supervision of Prof. Martin Zwierlein, exploring topics ranging from spin-orbit coupling to quantum gas microscopy of the Fermi-Hubbard model. He joined the Doyle group in the summer of 2017, and has since been working on the laser cooling and trapping of CaF.
