Welcome to the Journal of the Harvard Medical School Academy! Our mission is to serve the Harvard Medical School educational community through discourse about medical education scholarship, innovation, perspectives, opportunities, challenges, and best practices. We aim to foster the work of medical and medical science educators across the broad HMS community, as well as those nationally and internationally. This triannual publication will share perspectives from educators, researchers, clinicians, trainees, students, and others. Our focus this edition is on Medical Education and COVID-19. We hope that this journal fosters community, curiosity, connectedness and compassion.
