Hello, my name is Ruhi Kanwar and I am a part of the HMS Pathways program's Class of 2025. I grew up in central New Jersey, surrounded by the greater NY area. As an undergraduate, I attended Stanford University where I studied Biology and Female, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. My academic interests span cardiothoracic surgery, gender/racial surgical outcomes research, and integrating interventional public health into patient care. Outside of surgery and medicine, I absolutely love dancing, hiking, traveling, and practicing yoga/mindfulness! You can catch me running around the streets of Boston or working on her yoga chakras with Dr. Sterns in the Anatomy wing! Through JWSS, I am most excited to foster community and promote faculty-student connections! Throughout the year, I hope to keep providing spaces and opportunities for my peers to better discover their interests and expand the possibilities of trajectories in surgery!
