Prasanna K.R. Allu
Dr. Prasanna Allu joined as a post-doctoral research fellow in Ronald Kahn's lab at the Joslin Diabetes Center/Harvard Medical School in 2020. His research focuses on how Insulin regulates transcription of genes through FoxK1 and FoxK2 signaling in liver. Prior to his post-doc position at Harvard, Prasanna did post-doc research at University of California San Francisco. He received an undergraduate degree from Loyola College and a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. He received several honors and awards during high school, undergraduate and graduate studies including CSIR-UGC doctoral fellowship from the Government of India. He is an American Heart Assocition Postdoctoral fellowship awardee. During his free time he loves to do acting in short films.
