Thiago has M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Functional and Molecular Biology from the University of Campinas (Campinas, SP, Brazil). Since joining Dr. Kahn’s lab as a Research Fellow in 2015, his research has focused on 1) using human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to unravel cell-autonomous mechanisms of insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes; 2) identification and characterization of novel transcriptional targets of insulin action in vivo.
