I am an experimentalist by training, with a background in remote sensing emphasizing hyperspectral infrared measurements. I am broadly interested in radiative transfer applications in atmospheric composition and to the radiative energy budget, including: impacts of stratospheric aerosols from geoengineering and from volcanic eruptions, cloud-aerosol interactions, and chemistry-climate coupling. I am interesting in analyzing data from existing observations to explore these topics, and in developing new active remote sensing instrumentation and mission concepts to further refine our knowledge of the underlying processes.
