Environmental Sciences and Engineering PhD Student
Y

Yaowei is a PhD student at Harvard University in the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He currently works on the experimental study of the dynamics of gas-particle partitioning. He is broadly interested in the chemical and physical processes of gases and aerosols in the atmosphere, as well as their effects on climate and human health.

Prior to Harvard, Yaowei earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from Peking University, China. He has previously conducted research on the chemical composition and sources of fine particles in Beijing by using a novel PM2.5 Time-of-Flight Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor system (PM2.5-ToF-ACSM) equipped with a capture vaporizer. He also upgraded and validated a drone-based VOCs sampling system to study biogenic VOCs emissions and uptake in Beijing.
