Lily Fornof

Lily Fornof received her B.A. in both Biology and Cognitive Science at Swarthmore College in 2020. Her undergraduate research focused on the landscape of fear of red-tailed monkeys in the Mahale Ecosystem, Tanzania in an attempt to better understand the spatial distribution of multiple antipredator behaviors. Lily began her PhD in fall of 2020. She hopes to better understand how bonobos’ habitat structure and resource distribution drive social relationships amongst the species. Lily enjoys using statistical modeling methods to better visualize behavior, coding for applications, maps, and animations that can better demonstrate patterns of behavior. Outside of her studies, Lily enjoys practicing languages, poetry, and visual art.
