Corporate Card

The Corporate Card, or Travel and Entertainment Card, is the primary payment method for travel expenses incurred by Harvard employees. Paid employees who take at least three business trips per year and/or incur entertainment expenses of $5,000 or more per year may apply for a corporate card. Corporate Card expenses are processed through Concur.

Individuals who hold Harvard-issued credit cards agree to the following:

  • Harvard-issued credit cards should be used solely for Harvard business-related expenses. Inadvertent personal use of a Harvard-issued card should be rare, and identification and payment of the respective charges should be prompt
  • Cardholders are responsible for all transactions charged to the Harvard-issued credit card

Quick tips:

  • To report a lost or stolen card, call Citibank customer service immediately at 1-800-248-4553
  • If your card is declined, call Citibank customer service at 1-800-248-4553 to determine the reason for the decline. Declines are most commonly due to exceeding the spending limit, or if the vendor is categorized under a Merchant Category Code (MCC) that Harvard has blocked to help prevent misuse. If this is the case, contact Finance to see if temporary code access can be allowed.
  • Self-register as a Cardholder for online access to your account (required). Make sure to set your PIN during card setup
  • Cardholders are responsible for personally paying any late fees incurred on their Corporate Card. Late fees accrue at the 31st day, at 2.5% of the balance. At the 61st day the late fee is applied, and the card is suspended. At 91 days past due, the card is closed.
