Peer Mentor Program

All rising seniors in the MSM BS/MS Program in Neuroscience are paired with a Harvard PiN PhD student mentor. The PiN student mentors serve as hosts during the MSM students' summer visit to HMS and provide ongoing mentorship throughout trainees' time in the BS/MS program through MAHPING-scheduled events and informal meetings/communications. PiN PhD student mentors can offer advice on the transition to graduate school, balancing laboratory work and coursework, and applying to PhD programs for trainees interested in pursuing that route. Designated PiN MD/PhD students are available as "floating" mentors for MSM students interested in applying to medical school upon completion of their Master's degree.
