Dr. Chifumi Nishioka is an assistant professor at Kyoto University Library, Japan. Before she joined in Kyoto University Library, she was a doctoral candidate at Kiel University and German National Library of Economics (ZBW), Germany, where she obtained her doctoral degree in engineering (Doktor der Ingenieurwissenschaften). Her research interests include data mining for scholarly information and semantic web. In Kyoto University Library, she works for IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework) and develops Digital Fujikawa, which integrates old Eastern medical books distributed over different institutions using IIIF.
