Chengxin (Steve) Zhou, PhD
Paschalis Lab / Boston Keratoprosthesis Group
Chengxin Zhou received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2013 from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. During his phd study, he investigated various key mechanisms for corneal keratocyte migration and matrix remodeling with in vivo and in vitro corneal wound healing models. His PhD work also encompassed cellular biomechanics, cell force monitoring, biologic imaging, corneal tissue engineering. He is currently a senior research fellow in Boston Keratoprothesis group. His research focuses on keratoprosthesis and ophthalmic devices R&D, biocompatibility, corneal wound remodeling, and ocular chemical burn.
