Keri Allen, MD
Dr. Keri F Allen is a research fellow at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary studying the Genetic Etiologies of Early-Onset Glaucoma in the lab of Dr. Janey L Wiggs. She recently co-authored a paper with Dr. Wiggs entitled: “Carrier Frequency of CYP1B1 Mutations in the United States”.
She received her B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University and her M.D. from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY prior to matriculating to Mass Eye and Ear for her research fellowship. In July 2015, she will begin her residency training in ophthalmology at Palmetto Health Richland Medical Center. Her career goals include practicing ophthalmology as a clinician scientist on research efforts geared towards blindness prevention.
Outside her Ophthalmology career, Keri enjoys laughing with loved ones, traveling, knitting, exploring new restaurants, and dancing salsa.
