Rafaella Nascimento e Silva, MD
Rafaella is a clinician from Brazil, working as a postdoctoral research fellow at Massachusetts Eye and Ear since March 2017. She obtained her M.D. in the Federal University of Juiz de Fora and completed her ophthalmology residency and fellowship in glaucoma and low vision rehabilitation at Sorocaba Eye Bank, Brazil. As a member of Brazilian Ophthalmology Council, she provided care for medical and surgical glaucoma patients. Her primary research interests lie in the imaging biomarkers in glaucoma with an emerging technology called Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography. Additionally, her focus is also on glaucoma in patients treated with the Boston Keratoprosthesis.
