Ran Liu, PhD
Ran Liu received his BE, ME, and DE degrees in computer science from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 2001, 2004, and 2007, respectively. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Homwee Technology Co., Ltd., Chengdu, China, from 2008 to 2010. He is now a Research Fellow in Dr. Peli’s lab in Schepens Eye Research Institute of MEEI, Harvard Medical School. His current work focuses on investigating the impact of visually induced motion sickness (VIMS) reduction methods for passive and interactive S3D viewing with HMD or VR device.
Research Areas: Medical and stereo image processing; Virtual reality; Visually induced motion sickness; Biomedical Engineering.
Interests: Listening to Chinese classical music; Watching fiction movies; Programming.
