Ithaca, NY is in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. It is small, walkable, comfortable city at the southern tip of Cayuga Lake. Cayuga Lake is fed by gorges formed by ancient glaciers. During the summertime it is easy to hike and bicycle, kayak and stand-up paddle-board, swim in the gorges and the lake, ride horses, and pick blueberries. There are several lovely state parks on the edges of town. The Institute will host a number of outdoor activities.
