What is your home town?
Springfield, IL

What research did you do while at Harvard Physics?
I analyzed the state of the art in exoplanet detection with the aim of improving models for future detection of planets similar to Earth. I also applied machine learning in areas of precision measurement.

What's a favorite memory you have from your time at Harvard Physics?
Meeting my wife (who was a Harvard postdoc) at the climbing gym!

What are your plans for the future?
I am now a data scientist at VideaHealth in Cambridge, MA. We are improving dentistry through application of artificial intelligence by automatically detecting dental diseases from oral x-ray images.

What advice do you have for incoming G1 students? And any advice for those nearing the completion of their PhD?
Incoming G1 students: either learn a new hobby or make time for old hobbies.
