Dr. Iqbal Shah was selected to the recipient of the 2016 Marge Horn Award by the USAID division of Global Health/Population and Reproductive Health/Research Technology and Utilization. The award honors Dr. Shah's years of dedicated efforts to build the capacity of social science researchers in developing countries, generate and utilize research for policy development, and improve the lives of women and girls through better access to reproductive health care.
National Research Coordinator, Dr. Joel Francis, of MDH and focal point for Tanzania from the GHP PPIUD Team, Leigh Senderowicz, will present at the FIGO Lessons Learnt workshop in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The core teams from all six countries will gather with the FIGO staff to discuss the intervention and ideas for improvement moving forward.
