Erin Pearson

Dr. Erin Pearson leads the work for the PPIUD study in Tanzania as a research associate at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health in the Department of Global Health and Population. She also serves as Principal Investigator of a study that uses the list experiment to improve measurement of misoprostol use for induced abortion in Pakistan. Before coming to Harvard, she worked as Senior Research and Evaluation Advisor at Ipas where her research focused on understanding how the health service delivery and social environments influence post-abortion contraceptive use. She has a strong interest in intervention research, and has worked on evaluations of mHealth interventions supporting post-abortion contraceptive use as well as evaluations of community-based interventions seeking to improve women’s access to safe abortion services.
