The 2023 Prefresher will take place from Tuesday, August 22, 2023 to Thursday, August 31, 2023, with a two day break for the weekend.
- Morning sessions are spent on math. There will be two blocks: 9:30am - 10:30am and 10:45am-11:45am, with a ~15 minute break in between. We will send out course materials for math lectures the evening before each day's class. We strongly suggest you review these before coming to class.
- On some days, we will have a group lunch with guests from noon-1:00pm.
- Afternoon sessions are spent on programing. From 1:30-2:45, we'll go through the programming notes. After a 15 minute break, small groups will work on exercises 3:00-3:30pm. From 3:30-4:00pm, we will re-group to discuss each other's progress on the exercises.
All material we cover is consolidated in a Prefresher Booklet. Additionally, there will be tutorials and exercise problems which we ask participants to try to work on before we meet. These will be communicated via email.
