Welcome

How has science historically been influenced by racism?Scale that is held together by a strand of DNA that acts the crossbeam

To what extent has science helped advance racist views?

Is there a biological meaning to race?

What are our responsibilities as researchers with respect to the relationship between science, race, and racism?

Race in Biosciences: A Journal Club Series consists of five main journal club modules, plus some additional action-based modules, which grapple with these questions. We hope these modules and the resources on this website will empower groups at Harvard and at other research institutions to host these challenging discussions. The first step to addressing systemic problems is working to understand them.
