Troy Cochrane is an economist. He is currently a post-doctoral researcher at Ryerson University and Course Director at York University in Toronto. Cochrane is an editor of The Forum on Capital as Power, which brings together a diverse range of radically minded people who seek to explore the possibilities and limitations of the concept of power as an alternative basis for re-thinking political economy and its foundational categories of value, capital and accumulation. Through his work with the Institute for New Economic Thinking, Cochrane is also providing political economic analysis to support opposition to the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion by Secwépemc land defenders.
