Professor Dimitrios Linos is Lecturer in Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Emeritus Professor of Surgery at Athens Medical School in Greece.

Professor Linos completed his Surgery training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He started his academic career at the Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland General Hospital before returning to Greece. He has served as Governor of the American College of Surgeons and President of the International Association in Endocrine Surgeons. He has been mentor of several Harvard College students who do their internship via the Directors Internship Program of Harvard Institute of Politics, at Prolepsis Institute where he is currently President.

His Academic work covers most aspects of General Surgery, although he is considered a worldwide Leader in Endocrine Surgery.

Professor Linos was recently ordained a Greek Orthodox priest while continuing his surgical career as Director of Surgery at Hygeia Hospital in Greece. During the last three years, he has been organizing a virtual course on “Health & Religion” which hosts Greek and American physicians, theologians and other specialists who present their views on health and disease especially from the side of the Orthodox theology.
