Kate Hartmann is a PhD candidate in Buddhist Studies at the Committee on the Study of Religion, Harvard University. She works on Tibetan literature and intellectual history, focusing particularly on practices of reshaping vision. Her dissertation explores such practices, concentrating particularly on how language and landscape facilitate this goal in Tibetan pilgrimage literature.
