We are developing technologies for capturing 2D, 3D and hyperspectral images of cells in fast moving fluids.  In addition to spatial and spectral information, we are also interested in performing quantitative measurements of other physical characteristics of cells, such as volume, protein mass, and oxygen tension.  Resolving the distribution of different measurable parameters enables better understanding of not just mean values of a cell population, but subtle differences in the response of each cell to its environment.
New: Our group just published two papers! One on single-cell oximetry in PNAS and the other on hyperspectral gigapixel imaging in Optica.
