Why: To learn about the many policies and areas of society that they are using data and science to impact, and well as about the opportunities for fellowships and other career opportunties.
When: Tuesday, March 20th at 3pm
Where: The Academy's building, just a short walk from Harvard's Cambridge Campus

Founded in 1760, the American Academy of Arts & Sciences is one of the oldest learned honorary societies in the United States. Having Fellows ranging from John Adams to Jonas Salk to Duke Ellington, as well as more than 250 Nobel Laureates, becoming a member of the Academy is considered one of the most prestigious achievements one can obtain. Today, the Academy brings together Fellows and leaders from all areas of society to confront issues facing society and offer data-driven policy recommendations. Currently, projects include assessing the future of alternative energy, public trust in vaccines, how society views science and scientists, and the future of undergraduate education. To engage early career scientists in public policy, the Academy also hosts multiple fellowship programs.
