9/8/17: Discussion on Science Policy Careers & Fellowships

September 6, 2017
ashim

Join us for a discussion with former Biological & Biomedical Sciences alumnus, Ashim Subedee, and hear about his experience transitioning from the bench to a career in science policy.

WHEN: Friday, September 8th, 4-5PM
WHERE: Armenise 108 (HiTS conference room), Harvard Medical School, Longwood

Ashim just finished the prestigious Presidential Management Fellows Program and is now a program director at the National Cancer Institute. The PMF selects applicants with the greatest potential to be future government leaders and pays them to train in a challenging government position for two years. Ashim also contributed greatly to the Harvard GSAS Science Policy Group while conducting his dissertation work.

We will discuss the many available science policy fellowships in addition to PMF, his experience as a PMF, and his career thus far. This will be an informal discussion where the group will guide much of the conversation. This is a fantastic networking opportunity and a chance to get a glimpse of the multitude of career options after completing our PhDs at Harvard.
