Ariel graduated from UMass Boston in 2019 with a dual-major in Psychology and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. She is currently interested in the following things: a) given how complex and fluid gender, sexual, and racial identities can be, how do individuals develop and/or come to terms with their identities. b) how do the intersections of gender, sexuality, race, and socioeconomic status affect experiences of discrimination and prejudice. And c) how can resilience mediate BIPOC’ and LGBTQ+ individuals’ ability to cope with minority stress.

Ariel is a strong advocate for intersectionality and qualitative methodology.
