Our clinical research staff here at the Jamaica Plain VA developed STEP-Home based on feedback from OEF/OIF Veterans about what they felt they needed in terms of services after returning home or leaving the military. STEP-Home is specifically tailored to the needs of post 9/11 Veterans and the struggles they face reintegrating back into civilian life, such as:

• Difficulty dealing with civilians
• Managing personal relationships
• Finding meaningful work/career goals
• Irritability and anger
• Issues with memory, concentration and attention
• Dealing with stigma and isolation
• Symptoms related to PTSD and TBI
• Substance issues

Our STEP-Home staff have clinical knowledge and expertise working with OEF/OIF Veterans and are totally committed to improving the lives of Veterans as well as their care at the VA!
