Outage Reason:         Campus Wide Network Maintenance

Description:
HMS IT is planning on performing maintenance on the HMS network core.
 
There will be NO network connectivity during this period. Please plan accordingly.

Planned Campus Wide Network Outage, Sunday, Sept 25, 2016, 6 a.m. -­ 2:00 p.m. EDT

Outage Reason:   HMS/HSDM Campus Wide Network Maintenance
Description:
This is the final step of the HMS/HSDM campus wide network upgrade. Each building will be moved to the newer and faster network.
There will be NO network connectivity during this period. Please plan accordingly.

Please Do Not Upgrade to Sierra, Mac OS 10.12

Apple releases Sierra, Mac OS 10.12 tomorrow, but it is not compatible with all of the applications students need to use.
At this time, HMS Information Technology strongly recommends that HMS/HSDM students not upgrade to Sierra.
Sierrra is currently not compatible with the ExamSoft software used by HMS/HSDM, and other applications including but not limited to MATLAB.  Until these incompatibilities are resolved, students should NOT install/upgrade current devices to Mac OS 10.12 and they should not buy new computers with 10.12 pre-installed.
