A survey of registered voters in the United States.  The survey is academic research conducted by Ryan Enos and Jacob Brown in the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University.

What is the purpose of this survey?

The survey is part of an academic research project to better understand voters' opinions and how their opinions are related to where they live.  The research will be published in academic journals.

What will happen to my responses to the survey?

Your individual responses will not be shared with anybody.   In academic journals, we report only the average of all responses.

 Why was I contacted?

You were randomly selected from publicly available lists of registered voters in each state.

Is this research authorized by the university?

Yes, this research has been approved by the Harvard University Committee on the Use of Human Subjects.
