We would like to congratulate our core group member Kai Trepka for being selected as Head Program Assistant for Harvard's Program for Research in Science and Engineering (PRISE), a prestigious program funding undergraduate research at Harvard-affiliated laboratories. As a recognized scientific leader among his peers, Kai is charged with the role of supervising and advising several hundred PRISE fellows conducting research at Harvard-affiliated laboratories of their choice. In some of his free time, Kai will continue to advance his work in the Tao Lab.
Our work on the world-record detection of a vanishingly small magnetic moment (~21 proton magnetic moments) has just appeared in Nature Communications. The technique explores the strength and controllability of commercial magnetic harddrive write heads.
