The Tuberculosis Research Unit for Lipidomic, Immunologic, Metabolomic and Allelic Associations (LIMAA), TBRU LIMAA is a collaborative effort between the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Socios en Salud/Partners in Health in Peru and the Colorado State University, funded by the NIAID as part of the Tuberculosis Research Units Network (TBRU-N).

TBRU LIMAA is focused on the need to better understand host immunologic and metabolic susceptibility, improving diagnosis of both TB and drug resistance, and developing new therapeutic approaches. Our research endevors to address the link between metabolic and immunological determinants of TB, the function of T cells in TB infection, the determinants of TB drug resistance, and the potential for improved diagnostics that identify pathogen-shed molecules in human samples.
