Li Laboratory

Studying Stem Cells and Cancer in the Department of Medicine, Division of Genetics at Brigham & Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School

             Stem Cell Research

The broad interest of Li laboratory is stem cells and cancer. In particular, the lab is interested in elucidating how cells of origin contribute to the cancer phenotype, and what is the molecular and cellular basis leading to the formation of cancer stem cells/tumor-initiating cells from normal target cells of cancer. The long-term goal is to develop novel approaches to prevent and/or treat cancer.
