I am a Research Data Scientist at IQSS. My current projects include CovidU, a model of COVID-19 transmission on campus (with interactive software here and working paper here), and the Social Science One project, a new type of partnership between academic researchers and the private sector to advance the goals of social science in understanding and solving social problems. I am also working on the Silver Lining project, a pioneering effort to use dark net data for academic research.
Previously, I studied Applied Mathematics here at Harvard, and then spent 5 years working on investments in the private sector, designing and developing algorithms to capture the effects of macroeconomic patterns and asset prices.
My current research interests include the application of statistical methods to political science and political economy, and the relationship between economic crisis response and the financial sector.
