Howell A Lloyd started the Bodin website when he was a professor of history at the University of Hull. He formed this website in 2013 to build on the workshop he organized at Hull on July 4-7 2011 on the Reception of Bodin, and which also resulted in this volume:

When he retired, Ann Blair transferred the website to Harvard and continued the updates. The website is now run by Anja-Silvia Goeing in consultation with Ann Blair.
Howell A Lloyd was one of the most active members of the site's group of experts. In 2022 he passed away peaceful and at home. He was 84 years old. Hull Daily Life published a tribute to his life here.
