Link to Something You've Written

Include in your bio a link that will take the reader to something personal that you have written.

I can help you put into your profile a link to one or more pieces of writing -- an article, a memoir, one or more poems, a story, a website -- that you would like to share with other members. I'll tuck the text of your composition into the HILR website in a way that will make it available only to other HILR members, and accessible only by clicking on the link in your bio.

Send an email to me, dickr@mac.com, with your piece of writing as an attachment and a sentence or phrase showing how you want to refer to it.

To find links that other people have inserted in their bios, go to Search and enter bio link in the Search box.

About Your Bio

HILR encourages you to keep your bio up to date. Here are some pointers:

  • You have to be logged as yourself to edit your bio. Please check that you name appears in the upper right part of this screen. If not, please log out and log in with your own account.
  • On the line below the About Faces Directory heading click Edit My Profile.
  • To edit your bio info, click on the word "edit" off to the right of the bio text. Scroll right if necessary to see the word.
  • Your bio can say whatever you like. The limit is about 600 words. A lively and inclusive bio tells your fellow HILRers more about you.
  • Please update your personal information in your bio. If your address, phone number, or email address changes, please also inform the HILR staff.
  • For more on Search, see these Search Tips.

Tom Hooper was a gift to HILR, his membership of 12 years far too short. HILR has lost a unique citizen, and Mimi Hooper has lost her beloved life partner of 43 years.

Seymour Kass (HILR Member and Associate until 2013) passed away on April 12, for many years he was one more of our beloved members and later associates, our condolences to his family and close friends. Find his obituary here.
