VISA  

For short-term stays in the United States, a tourist visa is usually sufficient. You nevertheless should check the entry requirements with the nearest US consultate or embassy; If you are requesting a B1 (tourist visa), you can use the invitation letter issued by the Afro-Latin American Research Institute as the proof of reason to travel.  

COVID Guidelines 

Per the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a negative COVID test is no longer needed as a requirement before boarding the plane for people traveling to the US, and mask wearing while using public transportation conveyances is optional. Please note that each country has different guidelines, make sure you check them before boarding the plane. Medical Insurance 

Before your trip to the USA, make sure you have proper medical insurance for the duration of your program. Your public and/or private medical insurance in your country should cover medical expenses in the case of an injury or accident during a short-term stay in the USA.
