Call for Submissions - 2024 Annual Conference (Deadline has passed)

The Association for Global Political Thought is an international, interdisciplinary, and intercollegiate project founded in 2021, supported by humanists and social scientists from global institutions. We are excited to announce that the 2024 Global Political Thought Conference will take place in person, at Princeton University's Center for Human Values on Friday–Saturday, April 26-27, 2024.

Call for Submissions

We call for submissions to our Spring 2024 conference, which will be hosted at Princeton University. We thank University Centre for Human Values (UCHV) for their generous hospitality. We welcome submissions that seek to enrich the study of political, social, and international thought; expand the scopes of political traditions and their languages; interrogate the discipline’s constitutive exclusions and limits of existing methods of inquiry; or address the theoretical and historical foundations of contemporary global political predicaments.

The keynote address is to be delivered by Anna Stilz (Laurance S. Rockefeller Professor of Politics and the University Center for Human Values), a member of the Association for Global Political Thought’s advisory council, on the subject of “Climate Displacement and Territorial Justice.”

More information about the Association, including examples of work that have been presented in our seminar series, may be found on our website

Submissions are due by February 13th, 2024 at midnight EST and should be sent to globalpoliticalthought@g.harvard.edu. Applicants will receive a response in February 2024.

Length: Papers must not exceed 12,000 words, including citations.

Formatting: Submissions, in either PDF or MS word documents, should be formatted consistently and for blind review. We suggest 12-pt font and double-spacing. Notes and bibliography may be in any style but must be consistent.
